EduFila
SaaS · School enrollment management
From application to enrollment. Capacity and waiting-list management for early childhood education centers, with configurable priorities and individual status lookup for families.
Real interface · demonstration dataThe problem
Managing early childhood education places means reconciling capacity at each center, age groups and priority criteria. EduFila centralizes applications and waiting-list tracking, with individual status lookup that avoids publishing other children’s records.
My contribution
Full-stack development of a monorepo platform with a React frontend, NestJS API and shared types. The implementation brings together registration, center and age-group assignment, ranking rules, capacity management and access roles for municipal operations.
What the system does
- Waiting lists by center and age group, ranked by priority score and application date.
- Assignment by proximity or address rules, with configurable age groups and cutoff dates.
- Capacity tracking, enrollment invitations and registration, with a PDF receipt and QR code.
- Individual lookup using a receipt number or tax ID and date of birth, with history and access roles.
Engineering decisions
Priority with explicit tie-breakers.
Configurable criteria determine each application’s score. The queue sorts by descending score, registration date and identifier, using the same ordering to calculate individual positions.
Enrollment within capacity.
When enrolling a child, a serializable transaction rechecks capacity and existing enrollments for the center and age group. The service uses bounded retries for serialization conflicts.
Lookup with limited disclosure.
Lookup requires a municipality, receipt number or tax ID, and date of birth. The response selects the application’s position, center, age group and progress; administrative queries apply municipality and role scope.

Context and boundaries
This case is based on a read-only review of local source code and documentation. The image reuses a project screenshot with fictional data, identified as demonstration content in its presentation materials. No real records were accessed, migrations executed or notification deliveries tested. This description does not claim municipal deployment, certified compliance or adoption results.
